Christy lives on a farm in Western Nebraska. She began her play writing career after volunteering to help with her daughter’s high school play. A few years later she found herself serving as assistant director and struggling to find a script that would fit their high school cast. Finally, she decided to write one herself. The result was “Pistols and Posies” which was published by

Pioneer Drama Service and won the 2009 Shubert Fendrich Award.  Christy continues to serve as assistant director/playwright at the local high school. She is a busy wife, mother and grandma and she also works on the farm.  Christy also writes a regular column for a local publication, The Business Farmer.  She loves cutting hay for hours because it’s a great time to work on plays!
